This course will examine the history and language of Costa Rica, while being immersed into the culture. Students will experience the culture first-hand by living with host families in Coronado. Course visits include the capital of San Jose, coffee and banana plantations, volcanoes, and many more sites.

Students will be chosen who have a minimum grade point average of 2.0 and are approved by the Study Abroad program and professor.
Estimated program fee of $2,100. Program Fee Includes: airfare, in-country transportation, lodging, admissions fees, insurance, most meals & $100 application fee. Program Fee Does Not Include: Ferris tuition, required textbooks, passport, & personal expenses.
Total Estimated Cost of: $3,195
Program participants will reside in guest houses with host families.
