Develop A Study Abroad Program
Information for Faculty

The study abroad short term program proposal begins with:

  • Discussing your program with your department and the Office of International Education in determining the program dates, courses and budget.
  • Submitting your proposal electronically to both the Office of International Education and to your Department Head for approval.

If you are planning a course for late fall or early winter, your proposals should be processed quickly so that we have time to adequately promote the opportunity to potential students. Please consult with Toni Dye, Study Abroad Coordinator, regarding program budgets before submission.

Please call Toni Dye at (231) 591-2450 or email us at international@ferris.edu to let us know whether you plan to propose a study abroad option and to set a time to meet with one of our staff about your plans and the desired support. Feel free to call with any questions or suggestions.

Complete information can be found in the Academic Affairs Study Abroad Policy Letter.
