The FSU Computer Standards Committee is recommending that the following software packages be recognized as the standard software load supported for faculty and staff personal computers on campus:

1. Windows Operating System
2. Lotus Notes Electronic Mail Client
3. Internet Explorer as a Web Browser
4. Symantec Norton Antivirus Software
5. Microsoft Office Professional Suite
6. Network Client for network connectivity
7. WebRoot SpySweeper

In a student computer open lab, we recommend the same software be installed on the machine with the following exceptions:

1. Lotus Notes will not be loaded on the machines for e-mail.
2. The Netscape web browser and/or Mozilla Firefox may be on the machines in addition to Internet Explorer.

Departments that have additional software requirements or have programmatic requirements for MacIntosh hardware and software should contact their information technology support area for assistance.
