Cisco Clean Access Agent
The Cisco Clean Access Agent software is required to access Ferris State University's network through wireless access points, the library, and residence halls. This program checks to make sure that students and staff are running secure, up-to-date machines. The Clean Access Agent will, once installed, automatically pop up ONLY on Clean Access protected networks. This means that you do not need to uninstall this program when you take your computer home for the summer or during breaks. You will be required to login to the Cisco Clean Access Agent about every 12 hours, or if your computer has been off for more than 5 minutes. When you login, you will be using the same username and password combination that you use to login in to MyFSU and Novell.
Installation Instructions:
1. Download The Cisco Clean Access Agent - Big Rapids Main Campus
2. Go to the downloads folder (default is the desktop)
3. Double click on "cca_agent.tar"
4. Double click on "CCAAgent.dmg"
5. Open "CCAAgent"
6. Double click to Open CCAAgent.pkg
7. Select "Continue" twice; Select destination volume; Click continue
8. Click Install and enter in the Administrative (your) password
9. When finished, click close.
Symantec Corporate Edition
If you are a current student, faculty, or staff member you are eligible to receive the University's Symantec AntiVirus software free of charge for use on your home computer. This AntiVirus software will alow you to receive free updates for as long as Symantec supports the software.
Installation Instructions:
1. Download Symantec AntiVirus 10
2. Go to the downloads folder (default is the desktop)
3. Double click on "Symantec AV.tar"
4. Double click on "Symantec AV for Mac.dmg"
5. Open "Symantec AV"
6. Double click to Open "Symantec Antivirus Installer"
7. Select "Continue" 3 times; Click "Agree" to the License Agreenent
8. Select destination volume; Click continue
9. Click Install and enter in the Administrative (your) password
10. Click "Continue Installation"
11. When finished, click "Logout"
