How to Request a Web Share Account
The Web Application Team recommends that departments limit
Web share accounts to two people (primary & backup).
- The supervisor will email or call TAC with the following information:
- The user id (MyFSU username) of the person needing access
- The Web directory or URL of the site to be accessed
- Whether or not this access is replacing another person’s access
- The supervisor will have the employee fill out a Confidential Data Security Agreement, mail it to the Data Security office. See also the University policies for Use and Web.

- Ferris Web Policy
- TAC will create a work order and assignment to the Web Application Team.
- The Web Application Team will determine the type of access required (Web share account or access to CMS system).
- The Web Application Team will make work order assignments to the Data Security team, Enterprise Technology Services (ETS), and Computer Technology Services (CTS) as appropriate.
- The employee will be given access to the development server or CMS system.
- The Web Application Team will brief the employee about Ferris design integrity, format, and standards.
- The employee should review their Web pages* with their supervisor prior to posting pages to the production server.
*All Web forms and applications must be reviewed by the Web Application Team before posting to the production server.
