Several years ago Ferris State University started their own chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary. NRHH, the National Residence Hall Honorary, is the top 1% of student leaders on college campuses. This organization is not open to everyone. Every person who would like to be considered for admission to this organization must apply and be chosen by existing members. Chosen students must show a wide range of involvement on campus as well as leadership abilities. Our chapter holds one induction in the fall and one in the winter semester. Every chapter is named after a significant person. Our chapter is after our Dean of student life and Director of Housing, Jana Hurley. Still being in the infancy stage, NRHH is working hard to make an impact on our campus. NRHH at Ferris has a membership of 36 students, but we also have several honorary members such as Hall Directors and housing administrators. What We Do We approve submitted Of The Month (OTM) awards, provide recognition for any student, staff, or faculty on campus, support philanthropy, and hold fundraisers such as the exam sacks that were handed out at the end of the past few semesters. We are working on several more forms of recognition, fundraisers, and programming to be done over the next few semesters. NRHH works very closely with RHA on several different levels. They do a lot of programming together, because both organizations focus on leadership development among students on campus. NRHH attends the same state, regional, and national conferences as RHA but they have separate representatives who attend separate business meetings while at conferences. NRHH also enjoys participating in campus wide events with other organizations such as Sibs and Kids Weekend and Ferris Fest. Executive Board:
