Philosophy

Ferris State University is looking for a few outstanding individuals to join our Residence Life leadership team for the 2006-2007 academic year. Our current professional staff represent sound background experiences from across the country. We have built a strong foundation from which we are raising the bar on student opportunities and expectations, overall satisfaction with on-campus living and the development of our student leaders and professional staff.

Our Residence Life team is dedicated to creating living and learning environments that enhance and further the educational mission of the University which states:

To achieve our goals our Hall Directors autonomously facilitate learning in our residence hall communities. We utilize the House System and the Foundations programming model to emphasize academics, civility, leadership and the overall development or our students. We are seeking dedicated professionals to join our team and help define the future of Ferris State while helping to prepare our students for the rest of their lives. The holistic development of the Hall Director is not only my personal commitment but also the commitment of the Office of Residence Life and Ferris State University. This is achieved through a wide range of personal and professional development opportunities. With the basic expectation of smooth running buildings met, the sky becomes your only limit to the professional growth possible at Ferris State.
