Michael Wade
Assistant Director
Michael Wade serves as the Assistant Director for the Office of Multicultural Student Services at Ferris State University. Mr. Wade's position involves recruitment and retention of students in college, Cultural Programming and Diversity Presentations for the campus community and is involved in several planning committees geared toward enhancing diversity on campus.
Michael is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and also serves as advisor to several student organizations on campus including BLACK (Black Leaders Aspiring Critical Knowledge), and the Finance Division of Student Government.
Mr. Wade's employment at Ferris State University began in 2001 when he initially was a Desk Services Assistant as a student at Brophy-McNerney Residential Hall. From there, Mr. Wade worked as a Student Data Entry Assistant at the Office of Administration and Finance where he received first-hand exposure to administrative responsibilities at FSU.
Wade is an alumnus of Ferris State University graduating in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and a Minor in Human Resource Management. Born and raised in Chicago, he moved to Lansing (Mich.) where he graduated from Lansing Eastern High School. Michael is currently pursuing his Master's Degree in Career and Technical Education Postsecondary Administration.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys reading aspiring and motivational literature, participating in sports, as well as listening to a vast variety of music. Mike's favorite quote is "A just man falls but a few times, but he gets right back up with the right mind."
