What is: Financial Aid? A scholarship? A Loan? A Grant?

Financial Aid:

Student financial aid refers to funding intended to help students pay tuition or other costs, such as room and board, for education at a college, university, or private school.

Scholarship:

A scholarship is an award of access to such an institution, or a financial aid award for an individual student scholar, for the purpose of furthering their education.

Student Loan:

Student loans are loans offered to students to assist in payment of the costs of professional education. These loans usually carry lower interests than other loans and are usually issued by the government.

Grant:

In the United States Federal grants are economic aid issued by the United States government out of the general federal revenue. Grants can be used for many purposes, including paying for school. The Pell Grant is an example of financial aid that is based on financial need, and is free, which means you do not have to pay it back.
