Text Box: Torchbearer Awards Ceremony Text Box: This past April, we held our 9th Annual Torchbearer Leadership Awards. This ceremony was designed to recognize students who are willing to take leadership roles around campus and in their student organizations. The Torchbearer awards recognize graduating seniors, while Rising Star awards recognizes students with two years left at FSU. There were ten students who were awarded the Text Box: Torchbearer and five students who were awarded Rising Star. The recipients of the Torchbearer award for 2005-2006 were Holly Atherton, Ryan Boysen, Amanda Bryer, Mike Finch, Sarah Jennings, Samantha Krause, Barbie Kolar, Katherine Lombardo, Bret Muter, and Vanita Sanders. The recipients of Rising Star were Amy Jarabek, Robbie Rankey, Erica Rogerson, Jessica Urban, and Text Box: Nicole Wheelock. Congratulations to all of our campus leaders. Text Box: Homecoming 2006 Text Box: Homecoming was a big success this year. The Student Homecoming Committee selected “Cruisin’ through the Decades” as the theme with events that took us back in time. The traditional activities took place throughout the week starting with the Bed Sheet Banner contest on Sunday. The Lip Sync took place on Monday, Kick Ball on Tuesday, and the Pep Games on Text Box: Wednesday. The students tried to stay warm outside with the Bonfire Thursday and laughed all night with comedian Horatio Sanz on Friday. The week wrapped up with the PaText Box: rade, Football Game, Hockey Game and Student Alumni Dance on Saturday. The football team defeated Gannon 35-14. Nichole Vander Yacht was crowned Queen while Matt Tomaszewski was crowned King. The students and the alumni had a very enjoyable week.
