Welcome to The Alliance of Ferris Employees. We are Ferris State University's organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer employees and our allies. We seek to help build a University that is inclusive and respectful of all regardless of an individual's sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.
The Alliance of Ferris Employees is a professional organization that acts as a resource for LGBTQA staff and faculty and serves as an advocacy group for LGBTQA issues. We are united in common cause with organizations at Michigan's other colleges and universities to advance the tolerance and acceptance of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer people. We are bolstered by allies who care about the social issues we face and who have families and friends who are LGBTQ-identified.
We subscribe to our founder's vision of a university open to all: There should be a revolution in the answer the United States has given to this question, "For whom are the public schools conducted?" For twenty-five years I have answered this question in the language of democracy--here is the answer--"For all of the people all of the time."
