BULLDOG VOLLEYBALL ALUMNI DAY THIS SATURDAY
Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony For Remodeled Varsity Locker Room Facility Will Be Held
The Ferris State University women's volleyball program will hold its third annual Bulldog Volleyball Alumni Day this Saturday (Oct. 2) in conjunction with FSU's Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) match versus Northwood at the Ewigleben Sports Arena in Big Rapids, Mich.
A special dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Bulldogs' newly-remodeled varsity locker room will be held at 2:15 p.m. (EDT) on the lower level of the facility. Following the dedication, a Pre-Match Reception will be held from 2:30-3:30 p.m. (EDT). The Bulldogs' match with the Timberwolves is set to begin at 4 p.m. (EDT).
The locker room project, which was completed this past summer, included the addition of 20 custom-built wood lockers, a study lounge and video room for daily utilization. The renovation also entailed the installation of storage cabinets and new flooring to enhance the facility's interior appearance. The "Bulldog Rally" campaign funded a significant portion of the project through private donations from alumni and supporters.
All Bulldog alumni and friends are invited to attend Saturday's activities. For more information or to RSVP, please contact FSU Women's Volleyball head coach Tia Brandel-Wilhelm at (231) 591-2871 or via email at brandelt@ferris.edu.
Ferris State, which is presently 12-3 overall and 4-1 in GLIAC action this season, opens weekend play by hosting Saginaw Valley State this Thursday, Sept. 30, for a 7 p.m. (EDT) league match.
