Alaina Olds Earns GLIAC Player of Week Honors

Ferris State University women's volleyball player Alaina Olds (Kingsley, Mich.) has been named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) North Division Player of the Week for her performance this past week. Olds, a junior, notched her second triple-double outing of the season on Sunday in FSU's 3-1 loss to Gannon at Ewigleben Sports Arena in Big Rapids.
A 5-11 middle hitter, Olds tallied 17 kills, 12 digs and 10 total blocks in the loss to the Knights. In three matches last week, Olds totaled 42 kills, 27 digs and 16 total blocks as the Bulldogs won two of three matches. After 22 matches, Olds leads the Bulldogs with 270 kills (3.33 kpg) and is second with 102 total blocks (1.26 bpg).
FSU, 13-9 overall, will host Hillsdale on Friday (Oct. 12) at 7 p.m. at Ewigleben Sports Arena. The Bulldogs will host Wayne State on Saturday (Oct. 13) at 4 p.m.
