FERRIS STATE VOLLEYBALL MATCHES AT TAMPA CLASSIC TO BE WEBCAST

Live Statistics Will Also Be Provided For Tournament Matches

Fans will have an opportunity to view the Bulldog volleyball team at this weekend's Tampa Classic.
Ferris State University women's volleyball fans will have an opportunity to listen and/or view the Bulldogs at this weekend's (Sept. 5-6) Tampa Classic in Tampa, Fla. The tournament is being hosted by the University of Tampa and will be held at UT's Bob Martinez Sports Center.

The Bulldogs are slated to play two non-conference matches each day. Ferris State will open with Eckerd (Fla.) this Friday (Sept. 5) in an 11 a.m. (EDT) matchup before taking on Colorado State-Pueblo in a 5 p.m. (EDT) tilt. FSU then tangles with Minnesota State this Saturday (Sept. 6), starting at 11 a.m. (EDT). Ferris wraps up its tourney play by squaring off against host and nationally-ranked Tampa this Saturday (Sept. 6) in a 7 p.m. (EDT) contest. The Spartans are presently ranked fifth nationally in the latest CBS College Sports/American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division II Coaches Top 25 Poll, which was released Sept. 1.

The live statistics for the matches will also be available for fans to access at the Ferris State volleyball website under 2008 Schedule/Results. Click on the underlined starting time to be directed to the live statistics feature and the opponent's name to be directed to the live webcast.

Ferris State, which is coached by 13th-year head coach Tia Brandel-Wilhelm, is presently 4-1 overall on the 2008 season after posting a 3-1 mark at the 2008 Ferris State Invitational last weekend (Aug. 29-30) in Big Rapids, Mich.
