TOM DAGLIS TO SERVE AS FERRIS' INTERIM
MEN'S TENNIS COACH FOLLOWING RESIGNATION

Big Rapids, Mich. - - The Ferris State University Athletics Department announced today (Feb. 21) the resignation of head men's tennis coach Jan Talian. The announcement was made by FSU Athletics Director Tom Kirinovic.

Tom Daglis, who presently serves as director of Ferris' Professional Tennis Management (PTM) program, will serve as the squad's interim head coach for the remainder of the 2006-07 campaign. A certified United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) Master Professional, Daglis also is the manager of FSU's Racquet and Fitness Center and has received numerous awards throughout his distinguished professional tennis instructional career.

A search for a permanent replacement will begin at the conclusion of the spring season.

The Bulldog men's tennis squad, which is presently 3-0 overall this campaign, opens Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) action Friday, Feb. 23, at Lake Superior State with a 10 a.m. (EST) start set for the league encounter in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. FSU is currently ranked 31st nationally in the latest Fila Division II Men's Tennis Rankings administered by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
