April 10: Softball Facility Dedication Ceremony To Be Held April 13
A dedication ceremony for the newly-constructed Ferris State University softball facilities will be held this Saturday (April 13) at the FSU Varsity Softball Field, beginning at 12:30 p.m. (EDT).
Refreshments will be served at 12 p.m. proceeded by a dedication ceremony. Following the ceremony, the Ferris softball team will entertain Gannon University in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) doubleheader with the first game scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
President Dr. William A. Sederburg, Board of Trustees Chairperson Tom Cook, Athletics Director Tom Kirinovic and softball head coach Keri Becker will be the featured speakers.
A new three-level press box facility, which includes a press box, restrooms and a storage area, was completed in the fall of 2001. The facility also features permanent bleacher seating for 250 spectators along with multiple batting cages and a pitching bullpen area located near the rightfield line.
