Navreet Gill and her teammates are still waiting to open the home portion of their 2005 schedule following the postponement of this Wednesday's games.
Wet field conditions as a result of the weather continue to hinder the Ferris State University softball team this season as this Wednesday's (March 30) season home opener versus the Wayne State Warriors at the FSU Varsity Softball Field has been postponed.

The non-conference doubleheader has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 12, with the opening game set to begin at 3 p.m. (EDT) in Big Rapids.

Ferris State has been idle since March 19-20 when the Bulldogs participated in the Lewis Tournament at Romeoville, Ill.

Ferris, which is guided by eighth-year head coach Keri Becker, sports a 7-7-0 overall record to date this season. The Diamond Dawgs have currently been victorious in six of their last seven contests.

With Wednesday's cancellation, Ferris hopes to open the home portion of its 2005 schedule this Friday (April 1) against the Northwood Timberwolves in a doubleheader at the FSU Varsity Softball Field. The contests, which will also represent the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) opener for both teams, is slated for a 3 p.m. (EST) start and the nightcap will commence approximately 20 minutes later following the first game's conclusion.

The Bulldogs are also scheduled to host Lake Superior State this Saturday (April 2) and Saginaw Valley State Sunday (April 3) in a pair of 1 p.m. (EST) GLIAC doubleheaders at the FSU Varsity Softball Field.
