On Deck With Dollarhite:
Why I chose Ferris State: my mother attended Ferris State and I also liked the opportunity to play softball here
The thing I like most about Ferris State Softball: the coaching staff has a different style than I've ever experienced and it's nice to be around girls who geniunely care about each other
When I step on the field I think: to give my 110% because there are eight other girls who should be doing the same and are depending on me. I try to play every game as if it were my last.
Advice to youngsters: have fun and play for yourself. Too many people take sports way too seriously in high school and then get burned out by the time they graduate
My pregame ritual: is to clean my cleats before every game and listen to music
My friends tell me I: take life a little too seriously sometimes and they remind me to have fun
What has been the most thrilling moment of your life outside of sports?: I traveled with the Lansing Community College softball team to Muhammad Ali's home which was a once in a lifetime experience for me to meet him
Something unusual about me is that: I'm Korean and I have my Korean name tattoed on my lower back
I can't live without: food because I really enjoy eating fruit
My best non-athletic talent is: being a good friend by listening no matter what the subject is and/or if I agree with them. Everyone needs someone to listen to them
