The Sriver Profile:
Why I chose Ferris State: The great reputation of FSU's Criminal Justice Program and the possibility of being a member of the softball team as a walk-on
Something unusual about me is: I had open-heart surgery and yet still can be active in sports even though I have a leaky valve
My best non-athletic talent is: making people laugh and my random jokes
What has been the most thrilling moment of your life outside of sports?: Being able to wear a bullet-proof vest and sit in the passenger's side of the squad car while assisting the officer in response to radio calls
My friends tell me I'm: energetic and uplifting
When I step on the field I think: of how grateful I am that I had certain people in my life that were willing to put time aside to help me reach my goal of playing college softball
The motto I live by is: bringing out the best in others, the smiles and laughter is what life is all about, don't waste a moment of happiness
The thing I like most about Ferris State Softball is: the team bonding
My advice to youngsters is: if you have a dream, don't ever lose sight of it. Visualize what you want and put all of your heart into it. Continue to chase it until you have accomplished it
If I could change one thing about softball, I would: be able to take a lead off the bag before the pitcher pitched the ball - just like in baseball
My role model is: my mother because she is so strong-willed and would sacrifice anything for me if needed
