BULLDOGS CLIP QUINCY IN IMPROVING TO 2-0
Senior pitcher Sarah Mueller (Santa Clarita, Calif./Valencia) went the distance on the mound for the nationally eighth-ranked Ferris State softball team as she only allowed six hits for the two Quincy runs in Saturday's (March 7) decision at the Florida Rebel Spring Tournament in Kissimmee, Fla.
Mueller fanned six Quincy batters without allowing a walk, which would prove to be enough to keep the Bulldogs in the game.
Ferris State was held scoreless until senior catcher Krystle Bailey (Wyoming/Rogers) evened the score with a two-run home run over the centerfield fence in the fourth inning. Later in the top of the seventh, Sarah Mueller closed the deal knocking two additional runs with a double down the left field line.
