NFCA RANKINGS POLL HAS FSU SOFTBALL LISTED SEVENTH

|Junior Amanda Harrington and the Bulldog Softball team are now seventh in the most recent NFCA Coaches Poll.
The Ferris State University softball team which is midst its best start in the program's history is listed seventh place with 274 points in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division II Top 25 Poll. The weekly poll was released on Wednesday (April 1).
The Bulldogs, who were sixth in last week's (March 25) national poll with 283 points, are currently 16-2 overall and 2-0 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) this season to date.
FSU, under 12th-year head coach Keri Becker, is two points in front of eighth-place Valdosta (Ga.) State while the Bulldogs trail Lock Haven (Pa.) by 13 points in the poll. Angelo State (Texas) earned top billing for the sixth consecutive week this spring.
Joining Ferris State in the national poll were fellow GLIAC-member schools Ashland and Wayne State. Both were among 12 teams as others to receive votes.
The NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll is voted on by 16 NCAA Division II head coaches with two representing each of the eight NCAA regions.
Ferris State was in action this Wednesday (April 1) at Saginaw Valley State for a pair of conference outings. The Bulldogs continue league play this Saturday (April 4) entertaining Lake Superior State in a doubleheader at the FSU Softball Field in Big Rapids, Mich. Following those contests, FSU wraps up the week's play on the road with two conference games this Sunday (April 5) at Northwood.
