2008 Season (Sophomore): Game-By-Game Statistics . . . A GLIAC All-Academic Team honoree . . . Started in 24 of 32 contests, all as a designated player . . . Her .288 batting average ranked fifth highest on the squad . . . Ranked ninth among team leaders with four multi-hit game efforts and had two multiple-RBI game performances . . . Turned in a 3-for-3 hitting effort in opener of a GLIAC doubleheader versus Gannon (3/29), which included a double and a run scored . . . Racked up a combined four hits in seven official plate appearances with four RBIs in league twinbill at Northwood (4/5) . . . Belted a two-run homer and had a double in a 14-6 five-inning game-one decision at Northwood (4/5) and then cracked a solo roundtripper in game two of a 9-5 victory over the Timberwolves (4/5) . . . (3/3) at the Florida Rebel Spring Tournament represented her initial collegiate base hit . . . Strung together a three-game (3/24) hitting streak all at the Wayne State Invite . . . Drove in a run in the Bulldogs' 4-0 non-conference triumph over Wayne State (3/24) in a Wayne State Invitational contest . . . Also some playing time as a pitcher . . . High School: A three-sport team captain at Southgate (Mich.) Anderson High School and a 2006 graduate . . . Lettered three seasons (2004-06) apiece in softball, basketball, and volleyball . . . Compiled a 3-4 mark in the pitching circle as a senior for head coach Rick Kruger's team to go with a 0.29 ERA in 49.0 innings . . . Recorded 63 strikeouts and three shutouts in seven appearances during senior year . . . Batted .333 with 11 base hits in 33 official plate appearances . . . Posted three doubles, one home run, eight RBIs, and a .486 on-base percentage in final prep campaign . . . Played an integral part in SAHS winning the Division I Mega Red District Championship as a junior . . . Chosen as the Southgate News Herald's Athlete of the Week in 2004 softball season during sophomore year . . . Competed for the age 18 and Under ASA Nationals in summer 2005 after taking part in the 2004 16 and Under USSSA Fastpitch World Series . . . Earned all-region and Southgate News Herald All-Area Team honors in volleyball as a senior . . . Received all-conference kudos in 2004 season as sophomore and helped guide team to a league district championship title . . . Played for Michigan Elite National Volleyball Club which traveled throughout the East Coast . . . Attained honorable mention all-conference laurels in basketball during senior campaign . . . Coach Becker on Flores: "Rhea has come back this year with the determination to get the call to the circle. She has improved tremendously with her control and pitch command so look for her to jurt some batter's feelings this season. The same can be said for her offensive ability as she will provide some more added power to our lineup."
