Softball Action
The Bulldogs' 2008 season home opener has been pushed back to this Saturday (March 29) as a result of weather and field conditions forcing the cancellation of Wednesday's (March 26) scheduled home-opening doubleheader versus Aquinas.

The Ferris State University softball team's 2008 season home opener scheduled for this Wednesday (March 26) afternoon against the Aquinas Saints has been cancelled due to snow and unplayable field conditions, announced FSU head coach Keri Becker on Tuesday (March 25).

At this time, the non-conference doubleheader hasn't been rescheduled.

Ferris State, which has been idle since March 15, is now slated to entertain the Gannon Golden Knights in its 2008 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) opener this Saturday (March 29) at the FSU Varsity Softball Field in Big Rapids, Mich. The opening game of the league twinbill is scheduled to get underway at 1 p.m. (EDT).

The Bulldogs, who are presently 7-8-0 overall this season, will host the Mercyhurst Lakers this Sunday (March 30) in conference doubleheader action. Game one is set for a 1 p.m. (EDT) start time.

Fans who attend this Saturday's (March 29) home opener will receive free schedule cards, autographed schedule posters, and first 30 kids to sign up will be entered in a drawing to serve as honorary bat girl/boy for the day.
