Coach Becker on Mueller: "While Sarah will continue to be part of an experienced and successful pitching staff, she will see time in the outfield as well. We just cannot afford to keep our out of the lineup. She possesses a lot of different tools from the left side of the batter's box which keeps the opposition guessing as to whether it will be power or speed."

On Deck With Mueller:
Why I chose Ferris State: The school has my major field of study and it's not big like a Division I school
The motto I live by: Happiness is a journey, not a destination. So work like you don't need money, love like you've never been hurt, and dance like no one is watching. Live life to the fullest. Have no regrets.
What has been the most thrilling moment of your life outside of sports?: Being there for the birth of my youngest brother
Something unusual about me is that: I'm part maltese which I always thought was a dog but later found out there is a small island called Malta.
When I step on the field I think: about doing my best and remembering all the fundamentals
The thing I like most about Ferris State Softball: The girls. It doesn't matter who comes or goes, these girls are my best friends and will be for the rest of my life
My worst fear is: losing a member of my family
My favorite movie is: A League of Their Own
My favorite music group is: Brad Paisley and country music. I also love contemporary christian music.
My pre-game ritual is: listen to pump-up music and visualize myself doing all the fundamentals
My role model is: my parents because I look up to them the most. So many people have helped me become the person I am today.
My best non-athletic talent is: singing as I've been in choir ever since I can remember
Advice to youngsters: Do well in school and learn as much as possible. Also learn how to be organized and try your best in everything you do
I can't live without: my family
