FERRIS NOW IDLE THIS WEEKEND DUE TO TOURNEY CANCELLATION
Great Lakes Mini-Showdown Games Won't Be Held Due To Poor Field Conditions

| McKenzie West and the Bulldogs were scheduled to play in the Great Lakes Mini-Showdown this weekend, but poor field conditions and weather have forced the tourney to be cancelled. |
The 2007 Great Lakes Region Mini-Showdown softball tournament scheduled for this weekend (March 17-18) at Lewis University in Romeoville, Ill., has been cancelled due to unplayable field conditions as a result of poor weather conditions in the area.
The tournament won't be rescheduled and the Bulldogs are also unable to compete in another tourney or against an opponent at this time due to the short notice.
Ferris State was scheduled to play two non-conference games apiece on both dates versus schools from the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC).
Next action for the Bulldogs will be March 24-25 at the Wayne State Invitational in Detroit, Mich. Head coach Keri Becker's team will play five non-league contests in the tournament with the first one coming against the Hillsdale Chargers on March 24 at 10 a.m. (EDT).
The Bulldogs are currently 8-6-0 overall this season following their annual Florida spring trip and have won their last five games to date.
