On Deck With Widman:
Why I chose Ferris State: Gave me an opportunity to match what I wanted academically with what I wanted to do athletically
The thing I like most about Ferris State Softball: My teammates and the coaches
If I could change one thing about softball, I would: make the pitching circle farther
My favorite movie:Harrold and Maude
My worst fear: Failure
My pregame ritual is: to get an upbeat song into my head and sing it
My favorite music group: Rascal Flatts
My role model is: My father
My advice to youngsters is: practice, practice, practice!!
The motto I live by: Never give up. Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind
What has been the most thrilling moment of your life outside of sports?: I tutored a boy in reading. When we started, he didn't know his ABC's and by the end he could read the first chapter of Charlotte's Web
Something unusual about me is that: I have webbed toes
My first softball memory is: my first little league team. We were like the Bad News Bears!
