High School: A three-sport team captain at Southgate (Mich.) Anderson High School and a 2006 graduate . . . Lettered three seasons (2004-06) apiece in softball, basketball, and volleyball . . . Compiled a 3-4 mark in the pitching circle as a senior for head coach Rick Kruger's team to go with a 0.29 ERA in 49.0 innings . . . Recorded 63 strikeouts and three shutouts in seven appearances during senior year . . . Batted .333 with 11 base hits in 33 official plate appearances . . . Posted three doubles, one home run, eight RBIs, and a .486 on-base percentage in final prep campaign . . . Played an integral part in SAHS winning the Division I Mega Red District Championship as a junior . . . Chosen as the Southgate News Herald's Athlete of the Week in 2004 softball season during sophomore year . . .
