On Deck With Parish:
Why I chose Ferris State: Criminal Justice program and great coaches
My role model is: my dad because he's been there every step of the way and has always believed in me
Favorite Music Group: I love Sarah McLachlan and Rascal Flatts
I can't live without: my family and my cell phone
The thing I like most about Ferris State Softball: Great program and everyone seems very welcoming so far
The motto I live by: follow your heart
My pregame ritual is: when I'm playing catch/warming up, I have to throw at least three pitches
What has been the most thrilling sports moment of your life?: Defeating rival and state champion Stevensville-Lakeshore in Districts and also winning regionals
My friends tell me I: always know how to make them laugh and I'm crazy sometimes
My advice to youngsters is: hard work always pays off
When I step on the field I think: 110%. Go big or go home! Play every game like it's your last
If I could change one thing about softball: You wouldn't have to wear cleats because everyone complains about how bad my feet smell when I take them off. I'm not allowed to take them off in the car.
