Sophomore goalkeeper Carla Gilbertson (Waunakee, Wis.) is currently two wins away from tying Alana Dombrowski (2000-03) for the most wins by a goalkeeper in school history. Gilbertson has a current career mark of 12-8-1 overall to date while Dombrowski posted a 14-15-5 mark during her career.
Junior forward Lindsey Pawloski (Royal Oak/Kimball) presently has registered a team-high 17 points (8-1--17) to date this season. She currently ranks third on the school's all-time points leaders list with 32 (13-6--32) career points.
Lindsey Pawloski's 17 points to date this season in 10 games presently ranks seventh on the school's single-season leaders list. Pawloski tied the school's second-highest single game point scoring performance with three goals in the Bulldogs' 6-0 home win over Charleston (W.Va.) last Saturday (Sept. 25). Junior midfielder Britta Dahlberg (Port Huron/Northern) matched the school's fifth-best mark in the identical category with five points on two goals and an assist in the same contest.
The Bulldogs have scored two or more goals in six of their last seven outings to date this campaign. Ferris has won three of its last four outings this season with all three coming by shutout.
Carla Gilbertson has registered four shutout victories in her last six outings to date this season.
Lindsey Pawloski became only the fourth Bulldog player ever to score three goals in one game versus Charleston. The school record of four goals was posted by former FSU player Emily Rogers (2000-03) in 2001 against Concordia (9/26).
Ferris' six goals against Charleston tied for the school's third-highest goal scoring production in a single contest.
Junior forward Lisa O'Brian (Kalamazoo, Mich./Loy Norrix) presently ranks as FSU's second all-time leading scorer and goal producer with 52 points and 21 markers. O'Brian's 10 career assists currently ranks third on the school's all-time list. She totaled two assists against Charleston.
Freshman forward Kristie Smilanich (Kalamazoo/Christian) tallied two goals in Sunday's (Sept. 26) 4-0 triumph over West Virginia Wesleyan, including a penalty kick goal.
Sophomore midfielder Lyndsay Sleek (Royal Oak/Kimball) tallied her first collegiate assist in Sunday's non-league home win over West Virginia Wesleyan.
The Bulldogs will host Tiffin (Ohio) in a non-league home game this Thursday (Sept. 30) before visiting Saginaw Valley State for their conference opener Sunday, Oct. 3. Thursday's contest begins is set for a 4 p.m. (EDT) at the FSU Varsity Soccer Field in Big Rapids, Mich.
