Ferris concluded the 2004 campaign with a 9-9-1 overall record. FSU won six of its final 11 outings this campaign.
Ferris State's nine victories this season ranks second all-time at FSU only to last season's school-record 11-5-1 overall record.
Senior defender Lauren Hogan (Ann Arbor/Huron) was honored prior to her final home contest Saturday (Nov. 6) versus Grand Valley State.
Second-year FSU head coach Melissa Lalonde presently is three victories shy of tying Pete Watkins (1999-02) for the most victories in school history following her second season at the helm. Watkins, who served as Ferris' first-ever head coach, compiled a 23-36-7 mark in four seasons. The Bulldogs are 20-14-2 in two seasons under Lalonde to date.
Ferris fell to 3-3 all-time versus Grand Valley State after Saturday's 3-0 season-ending home loss to the Lakers. FSU dropped to 2-4 all-time in its final regular-season contest of the year.
FSU emerged victorious in six of its last nine home contests this campaign. The Bulldogs have won 10 of their last 15 home outings dating back to last season.
Ferris' 91 total points this campaign represented the school's second-best single season total behind its school record 116 points of a season ago. FSU's 32 goals this campaign is listed third among the team single-season leaders while the Bulldogs' 27 assists is second on the seasonal list.
Junior forward Lindsey Pawloski (Royal Oak/Kimball) compiled a team-high 23 points (10-3--23) this season. She currently ranks third on the school's all-time points leaders list with 38 (15-8--38) career points.
Freshman forward Kristie Smilanich's (Kalamazoo/Christian) seven goals this campaign represents the school's sixth-highest career goal scoring figure and is eighth on FSU's single-season leaders list.
Lindsey Pawloski's 23 points this season ranked sixth on the school's single-season leaders list and was three away from matching Emily Rogers' fifth-place total of 26 points (11-4-26) compiled during the 2000 campaign.
Junior forward Lisa O'Brian (Kalamazoo, Mich./Loy Norrix) presently ranks as FSU's second all-time leading scorer and goal producer with 56 points and 23 markers. O'Brian's 10 career assists currently ranks third on the school's all-time list.
Sophomore goalkeeper Carla Gilbertson's (Waunakee, Wis.) six shutouts this campaign ranked first on the school's single-season leaders chart. She needs three more shutouts to match Connie Bigott's (2000-01) school-record career total of nine shutouts.
Carla Gilberton's nine victories in net this season ranked as the school's top single-season victory performance surpassing her seven wins of a season ago.
