Sophomore goalkeeper Carla Gilbertson (Waunakee, Wis.) tied former Bulldog player Alana Dombrowski (2000-03) for the most wins by a goalkeeper in school history with Sunday's (Oct. 10) win over Northern Michigan. Gilbertson, who also posted her 150th career save in Sunday's contest, has a current career mark of 14-10-1 overall to date while Dombrowski posted a 14-15-5 mark during her career.
FSU has won five of its last six home contests to date this campaign. The Bulldogs have emerged victorious in nine of their last 12 home outings dating back to last season.
The Bulldogs have presently posted three consecutive series' victories over Northern Michigan following Sunday's (Oct. 10) 2-1 overtime triumph at Big Rapids. Ferris' 37 total shots against the Wildcats represents the sixth-highest single game total in school history.
Ferris, which is presently 7-6-1 overall this season, has won four of its last six outings to date this campaign.
Freshman defender Nicole Sawada (Westfield, Ind./Carmel) notched her first collegiate point with an assist versus Northern Michigan.
Junior forward Lindsey Pawloski (Royal Oak/Kimball) presently has registered a team-high 18 points (8-2--18) to date this season. She currently ranks third on the school's all-time points leaders list with 33 (13-7--33) career points.
Lindsey Pawloski's 18 points to date this season in 14 games presently ranks tied for sixth place on the school's single-season leaders list. She ended a four-game scoring drought with the game-winning assist in Sunday's victory over NMU.
Junior forward Lisa O'Brian (Kalamazoo, Mich./Loy Norrix) presently ranks as FSU's second all-time leading scorer and goal producer with 54 points and 22 markers. O'Brian's 10 career assists currently ranks third on the school's all-time list.
The Bulldogs have recorded more shots than their opponents in each of their last six outings to date this season.
Ferris improved to 3-5-8 all-time in overtime contests with Sunday's victory. The program's two most recent overtime triumphs have came against Northern Michigan following last season's (10/12/03) identical 2-1 OT victory at Marquette, Mich.
The Bulldogs will travel to Erie, Pa., for two weekend contests Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 16-17. FSU will face Gannon Saturday (Oct. 16) at 3 p.m. (EDT) and then meet Mercyhurst Sunday (Oct. 17) in a 2 p.m. (EDT) tilt. Both league matches will be held at Mercyhurst College.
Ferris is 4-1 all-time against Gannon and has won four consecutive series' contests to date. The Bulldogs are 0-5 all-time versus Mercyhurst, including an 0-2 mark in Erie.
