Graetz is currently in his first season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Ferris State University women's soccer program and arrived to FSU in the fall of 2008 with four years of coaching experience at Crossroads Charter Academy, where he teaches seventh grade.

A graduate of Spring Arbor University in 2001 with an Elementary Teaching Certificate and a Bachelors of Arts degree in English.

Graetz played four years of soccer at Spring Arbor, where he was a four-year starter. As forward, Steve received All-American honors from the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) and NAIA All-Region honors in 1999 and 2000.

Steve and his wife Jill have one son, Anderson, born in 2007.
