Tammy Unsworth
Tammy Unsworth accounted for Ferris State's final two goals, including the game winner, in the Bulldogs' 5-4 conference home victory over nationally-ranked Mercyhurst Sunday (Oct. 7).
Junior forward Tammy Unsworth (White Lake/Walled Lake Northern) tallied the seventh game-winning goal of her career against Mercyhurst Sunday (10/7) which ranks first among the 2007 squad members. Her seven game-winners represents a tie for third place on the school's all-time charts with Lindsey Pawloski (2002-05).

Ferris State's 5-4 victory over 23rd nationally-ranked Mercyhurst Sunday (10/7) marked the second time in the eight all-time series meetings to date between the two teams in which the Bulldogs were the victors. FSU recorded a 3-1 win over the Lakers in the 2005 season (10/9) at Big Rapids.

Senior midfielder Kristie Smilanich (Kalamazoo/Christian) is three points shy of totaling her 100th career point and is 22 points away from tying Emily Rogers' (2000-03) 119-career points total for top scoring honors in the program's eight-season history. Smilanich presently has 97 career points (38-31=97) in 66 matches, which includes a team-high 30 points (11-8=30) in 12 contests this fall.

The Bulldogs have produced 11 more goals (22 total) in seven home matches than in five road encounters (11 total) this fall. Kristie Smilanich has generated a squad-best 18 points (6-6=18) in seven home outings and a team-leading 16 points (5-2=16) in five away contests.

Senior forward Heather O'Keefe (Ada/Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central) has netted at least one goal in eight of her 12 matches this season, which includes five of her last seven to date. O'Keefe's 24 points (10-4=24) in 12 2007 contests represents a career single-season high, eclipsing her 17 points (6-5=17) in 18 matches a season ago.

Senior midfielder Nicole Sawada (Westfield, Ind./Carmel) posted a career single-match best four points on two goals in the Bulldogs' victory against Gannon Friday (10/5). Sawada, who has a career-best six points (2-2=6) in 12 matches this season, has compiled five points (2-1=5) in her last two appearances after netting one point (0-1=1) in 10 previous outings this season.
