Senior forward Heather O'Keefe (Ada/Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central) has recorded at least a point in eight of the Bulldogs' 10 matches this season and had her four-match scoring streak snapped at Findlay (9/30). O'Keefe has produced a goal or more in six contests this fall.
Senior midfielder Kristie Smilanich (Kalamazoo/Christian) is seven points shy from registering her 100th career point and would join Emily Rogers (2000-03; 119 pts.) as the only two individuals in the program's history to accomplish the feat. Smilanich presently has 93 career points (37-19=93) in 64 matches, which includes a team-leading 26 points (10-6=26) in 10 matches this fall.
Sophomore defender Stevie Salow (Saginaw/Heritage) tallied her first collegiate goal at Ashland (9/28) with a first-half score at the 20:18 mark. Prior to that match, Salow's last and initial point of her Ferris State career occurred on an assist in a home conference match decision over Northwood last season (9/13).
Ferris State's 2-1 triumph at Ashland last Friday (9/28) represented the second straight season in which the Bulldogs have prevailed over the Eagles. FSU registered a 4-3 overtime home win a season ago (10/6).
