Bulldogs Listed 20th By Inside College Hockey

The 2005-06 Ferris State University men’s ice hockey team cracked the top 20 national rankings this week (Nov. 20) as the Bulldogs are listed 20th in the Inside College Hockey.com (INCH) poll.

Ferris State, which previously hadn't been nationally ranked this season, is presently 5-3-4 overall with a third-place 3-1-4 mark in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA). The national ranking is conducted by the Inside College Hockey editors and staff.

The Bulldogs, under the direction of 14th-year head coach Bob Daniels, are also among 12 teams receiving votes in the USCHO.com/CSTV Networks Poll which is compiled by U.S. College Hockey Online. The USCHO voting panel consists of 40 voters, including 28 coaches from the Division I conferences and 12 beat writers from across the nation. The poll, published weekly by the Associated Press, is a joint production of USCHO, in its 10th year as the nation's premier source of information on college hockey, and College Sports Television (CSTV) Networks, Inc., the only digital media company dedicated solely to college sports. CSTV operates a 24-hour college sports cable network, also available via DISH and DirecTV satellite as well as CSTV.com, ranked in the Top 10 leading sports websites.

Ferris State, which is 3-1-2 in its last six outings, will continue non-league play this weekend (Nov. 25-26) as the Bulldogs take on the Mercyhurst Lakers in Erie, Pa. Opening faceoff for both contests is 7:05 p.m. (EST) and represents the first-ever meetings between the two teams.
