FERRIS' CCHA PLAYOFF SERIES AT NOTRE DAME TO BE VIDEO WEBCASTED
Streaming Video Of Each Playoff Game This Weekend To Be Offered Free of Charge
|Ferris State hockey fans will be able to watch goaltender Mitch O'Keefe and the Bulldogs in this weekend's (March 14-16) CCHA Playoff series live on a free video webcast.
The 2007-08 Ferris State University men's ice hockey team returns to the ice this weekend (March 14-16) in quarterfinal- round action of the 2008 Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) Playoffs versus nationally-ranked Notre Dame at Notre Dame, Ind.
For those Ferris State hockey fans who are unable to make the trip to Notre Dame and cheer for the Bulldogs, a video webcast of each contest in the best-of-three series will be available free of charge.

The best-of-three series will be played at the Joyce Center on the Notre Dame campus with games to be held on Friday, March 14 (7:35 p.m.), Saturday, March 15 (7:05 p.m.) and Sunday, March 16 (7:05 p.m.) if necessary. All opening faceoff times are Eastern Daylight (EDT).
The Bulldogs are presently 17-14-5 overall this season under 16th-year head coach Bob Daniels. Ferris State, which is the league tournament's fifth seed, swept 12th-seed Western Michigan in two games this last weekend (March 7-8) at FSU's Ewigleben Ice Arena in Big Rapids, Mich.
Ferris State moved up one spot into 18th place in this week's (March 9) Inside College Hockey.com poll while FSU is listed among other teams receiving votes in both the U.S. College Hockey Online/CSTV and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls this week. Notre Dame, which received a playoff first-round bye and is the tourney's fourth seed, is listed 12th in all three national college hockey polls.
The remaining CCHA second-round series have No. 8 Nebraska-Omaha at No. 1 Michigan, No. 7 Bowling Green State at No. 2 Miami (Ohio) and No. 6 Northern Michigan at No. 3 Michigan State. The winners of the four series will advance to the 2008 CCHA Championships, which will be held March 21-22 at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Mich. The winner of the 2008 CCHA Playoff Mason Cup championship game earns the league's automatic NCAA Tournament bid.
