Ed Farhat
Baseball, Basketball and Football,
1946-49

Farhat earned eight letters at Ferris in baseball, basketball and football from 1946-49. The Lansing native then became an outstanding football coach at Muskegon Catholic High School where his teams consistently placed high in the state rankings. He left in 1962 to join the coaching staff at the University of Colorado before going to Aquinas College as an assistant professor of business and athletic director. Farhat then returned to Muskegon Catholic as superintendent and football coach. He was active in the American Football Coaches Association, Michigan High School Coaches Association and served as an area scout for the National and American Football Leagues. He left Muskegon in 1969 to become director of public affairs for the Michigan Catholic Conference in Lansing. He later founded Public Affairs Associates, a Lansing lobbying firm. Farhat received a Distinguished Alumnus Award in 1984. He died on June 27, 1998.
