Bulldogs Continue To Be Listed Third In Latest Golf World Poll

Junior Meghan Hunter and the Bulldogs occupy third place in the national NCAA Division II women's golf rankings.

The second Golf World/National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) Women's Golf Coaches' Poll of the 2008 spring season was recently released with the Ferris State University women's golf team remaining ranked third in the nation.

The Bulldogs registered 212 points to claim third place behind Florida Southern and Rollins (Fla.), which both received 243 points. Florida Southern earned six first-place votes while Rollins had the other four first-place votes. Rounding out the top five were Tarleton State (Texas) with a fourth-place 204 points while Barry (Fla.) captured fifth place by racking up 197 points in the top 25 poll. Ferris State opens the spring portion of its 2007-08 schedule season this weekend (March 29-30) as the Bulldogs compete in the Northern Kentucky Invitational at Perry Park, Ky.
