The Ferris State University men’s golf squad wrapped up action in the University of Findlay Outback Steakhouse Invitational in seventh place Monday (April 16) at the Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio.

The Bulldogs shot a two-round score of 635 in the event. Ferris carded a 318 in Sunday’s (April 15) opening 18 holes of play followed by a 317 in the final day of action. Grand Valley State took top team honors with a 616 on the par 72 course measuring 6,724 yards. Wayne State came in second (620) with host Findlay third (622) in the 10-team field.

Junior Matt Erickson placed tied for fifth individually with a 153 (75-78—153) for FSU. GVSU’s Josh Orler was the individual medalist (72-75—147).

Senior Jeff Carlson wound up tied for 19th place overall (81-77—158), seniors Brody Moreland (82-81—163) and Kyle Mason (80-83—163) both tied for 35th place and freshman Kurt Valley (83-81—164) placed tied for 43rd overall in the 68-competitor field.

FSU freshman Eric Lilleboe competed as an individual and placed tied for 27th overall (80-80—160).

The Bulldogs next take part in the NCAA-II Great Lakes Regional Tournament III April 21-11 in Alton, Ill.
