FERRIS STATE ATHLETICS PARTNERS WITH B2 NETWORKS
Bulldog Athletics Goes Worldwide Beginning This Weekend
Ferris State University and B2 Networks announced a partnership today (Nov. 15) bringing Bulldog Athletics to the revolutionary broadband broadcasting network. The agreement will take effect immediately with this weekend's (Nov. 17-18) CCHA hockey series between Ferris State and the Michigan Wolverines. The partnership will include men's hockey, men's and women's basketball and beginning next fall, football will be shown to Ferris State fans around the world.
The broadcasts will feature video from the team’s videographer and audio from the team’s official play-by-play broadcaster.
"This is an exciting time for all Bulldog Fans to know they can go anywhere in the world and continue to see their favorite team play," said FSU Athletics Director Tom Kirinovic.
Fans wanting to watch Ferris State athletics events via B2 will need a high-speed internet connection and Windows Media Player 9 or higher. Games will be sold on an individual basis with FSU season passes to be announced at a later date. Individual game prices are $6. Events can be accessed through the Ferris athletics website at http://www.ferris.edu/sports.
"Growing up in Michigan, I am very aware of the great sports tradition at Ferris State," said Greg P. Bell, B2 Networks Owner and CEO. "We look forward to broadcasting Bulldog Athletics and showcasing both CCHA and GLIAC events to fans through B2 networks."
Bulldog fans will be able to watch all home games for the selected sports. In addition, fans will also be able to catch road games involving other B2 partner schools, which currently includes both Lake Superior State and Northern Michigan. For the first time, supporters will be able to watch all the action without leaving home.
"We look forward to this new relationship with B2 networks allowing parents, alumni, recruits and supporters of Bulldog Athletics to keep track of the efforts of our coaches and student-athletes," said Ferris Hockey Coach Bob Daniels.
