“BETWEEN THE LINES” TELEVISION PROGRAM TO AIR WEEKLY
Television Show Featuring Ferris State Athletics To Air On Northern Michigan’s Fox 33

Between The Lines, a weekly television program profiling Ferris State University Athletics, continues to be aired on northern Michigan’s WFQX-Fox 33 every Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. (ET) until April 30.
The show is hosted by Ira Childress, who's also the executive producer. The 30-minute program is produced on the FSU campus in the studios of the University’s cable Channel 7 and then aired across northern Michigan on Fox 33, which is stationed in Cadillac.
The show affords a unique opportunity for Bulldog fans to get up-to-date information pertaining to Ferris State Athletics while also providing insight from the respective FSU varsity athletic programs from its coaches, student-athletes and support staff. The show will include features on Ferris State student-athletes, trivia contests and interviews with professional athletes from the respective sports in the state of Michigan.
“This show presents an outstanding opportunity to promote the our athletics program and the University as a whole,” said FSU Athletics Director Tom Kirinovic. “This program allows many potential students to find out even more about what a fine institution Ferris State University is.”
Directing the show is Steve Cox, a video producer and director in the University’s Media Productions Department. The show is also aired locally on the University's cable Channel 7 every Tuesday (7 p.m.), Wednesday (8:30 p.m.) and Sunday (7 p.m.).
“The University has done a good job of increasing its visibility through athletics as a result of producing the show,” said Childress, who was a member of the 1999 FSU football team which captured a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) championship title. “We’re trying to attract a larger audience and generate greater exposure for the University. The show proved to be a success in the fall and I'm confident the viewership will continue to increase in the future.”
