FERRIS STATE POSTER RECEIVES NATIONAL RECOGNITION
2001 FSU Football Poster Judged Third Best In The Nation
The 2001 Ferris State University football poster was recently selected third overall nationally among 17 entries for Division B and C (NCAA Division II and III) by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Joe Gorby and Rob Bentley of the FSU Athletics Communications Department along with Bill Bitzinger of FSU Photographic Services were contributors to the gridiron poster.
All varsity athletics posters submitted by NCAA Division II and III institutions were eligible for the contest regardless of sport. A three-member panel was assigned by the respective CoSIDA Publications Contest Coordinator.
Emporia (Kan.) State University’s fall sports poster was judged “Best In The Nation” while North Greenville College’s (S.C.) football poster received second-place honors. The 2001-02 Ferris State men’s and women’s basketball poster placed fourth overall.
Citation certificates for the top three placings were presented at the 2002 CoSIDA Workshop (June 30-July 3) in Rochester, N.Y.
The 2001-02 Ferris State women’s basketball yearbook cover earned “Best In The Nation” honors in Division B (NCAA Division II) for the second consecutive year.
The 2000 FSU football poster was chosen fourth best in the nation among 19 entries in Division B.
