RENOVATION CAMPAIGN FOR ATHLETICS WEIGHT ROOM IS UNDERWAY

"LIFT FOR THE DOGS" Fund Raising Project To Benefit Bulldog Varsity Student-Athletes
Ferris State Weight Room
Renovations to the existing FSU Athletics Weight Room will significantly benefit its entire student-athlete population.

One of the most essential functions of the Ferris State University Athletics Department is soliciting private financial support for the maintenance, renovation and construction of its athletic facilities.

To attract top student-athletes, expectations for having quality athletic facilities and equipment are essential. In order for Ferris State to continue competing at a championship level with its fellow member institutions in both the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) and the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA), renovations and upgrades are needed.

Presently, the Lift For The Dogs campaign to renovate and purchase weight training equipment in the varsity athletics weight room of the FSU's Ewigleben Sports Complex is underway. The campaign's goal is to raise at least $30,000 through private donations which will be earmarked toward the purchase of multipurpose racks, leg extension machines, leg curl machines and olympic lifting platforms. Renovation plans could also entail the installation of wall mirrors and new flooring to enhance the weight room's interior appearance.

Significant resources are required for Ferris State student-athletes to compete at a high level. These individuals spend countless hours in the facility preparing for competition. One of Ferris State's greatest resources is its people and through their donations, the future success of the Bulldogs' 15 varsity athletics programs will likely be determined. The University is hopeful all Ferris State alumni, supporters and friends will make a contribution to this worthwhile endeavor.

The University is committed to ensuring that Bulldog student-athletes attain the greatest heights both on the field and in the classroom. The emphasis is to provide its student-athletes with the necessary tools to reach their maximum potential and upon graduation, depart Ferris State University with the best collegiate athletic experience possible.
