Myers and Brewster were among 25 individuals to attain first-team laurels while Bell was a second-team selection. Myers and Bell were both repeat Daktronics, Inc. regional honorees with Myers achieving first-team Northeast Region recognition and Bell garnering second-team plaudits in 2003. The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) was represented by nine member schools and 22 student-athletes, including 12 on offense.

The team is sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., an acknowledged world leader in scoring, timing and programmable display systems for virtually every sport at all levels of competition. Those receiving first-team accolades will now move on to the national ballot and the Daktronics, Inc. All-America Team will be released later this month.

A 2003 American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and Associated Press All-America First-Team pick, Myers recorded 133 total tackles (83 solos) in 11 contests this campaign which represented his third consecutive 100-plus tackle season output of his career. Myers, a two-time (2003-04) All-GLIAC First-Team selection and FSU’s 2004 Most Valuable Player, compiled seven double-digit tackle game performances this fall which included a career-high 26 stops (15 solos) in the season opener (8/28) against two-time defending NCAA Division II National Champion Grand Valley State and 15 tackles at 2003 NCAA-II National Champion runner-up North Dakota. The 5-11, 210-pound linebacker is listed ninth in solo tackles (6.5 avg.) and 15th in total stops (11.5 avg.) nationally to date. A 2004 D2Football.com first-team All-Northwest Region honoree, Myers concluded a stellar career with 435 tackles (257 solos) in 42 contests which represented the fifth-highest output in Ferris State history and was one stop shy of tying for fourth place on the all-time charts.
