FERRIS STATE MEDIA/PHOTO DAY TO BE HELD AUGUST 25

The Ferris State University football team will hold its annual media/photo day on Sunday, August 25, at FSU’s Top Taggart Field in Big Rapids, Mich.

The event, which is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. (EDT) and conclude around 2:30 p.m. (EDT), is an opportunity for the media to interview all members of the Bulldog coaching staff and the football players. The public is also invited to attend and will be given an opportunity to receive autographs and/or have a photo taken with their favorite players.

Ferris State returns 37 letterwinners and 16 starters (including two special team performers) from the 2001 squad which registered a 7-4 overall record and placed third in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) with a 7-3 conference mark. FSU was picked in a tie for third place with the University of Indianapolis in the 2002 GLIAC Preseason Football Coaches Poll.

The Bulldogs kickoff the 2002 campaign with back-to-back home evening contests at Top Taggart Field, entertaining Hillsdale College in non-conference play Saturday, Sept. 7, before taking on 2001 NCAA Division II National Championship runner-up Grand Valley State University Saturday, Sept. 14, in the GLIAC opener for both teams. Both outings are scheduled for 7 p.m. (EDT) starting times.
