Annual Golf Outing Provides Support For Bulldog Football Program
The 24th annual Ferris State University Football Golf Outing was held Saturday, June 9, at FSU's Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids, Mich.

The winners in their respective groups are listed below:
1st Place (Men's Round): Dave Grunts, Todd Rickford, Dave Ash, John Sonntag and Jim Sofoulis. Team score of 58 (18 holes).
2nd Place (Men's Round): Ryan Kaul, Tim Kaul, C.J. Van Wieren and Jim Van Wieren. Team score of 59 (18 holes).
1st Place ("Big Dog" Round): Mike Mohnke, Marty Mohnke, Mark Grenell and Brett Palenta. Team score of 114 (36 holes).
1st Place (Coed Round): John Powers, Janet Powers, Roger Heisler and Carl Powers. Team score of 65 (18 holes).
1st Place ("Players Cup" Round): Bill Scheible, Steve Duchon, John Baylis and Mark Sarver.
The four-person double shotgun golf scramble, which was sponsored by the FSU Gridiron Club, serves as one of the Ferris State football programís primary fundraising events.
The 10th annual "Big Dog" scramble was also held at the outing. The "Big Dog" format featured 18 holes of golf at Katke Golf Course followed by another 18 holes at the prestigious Tullymore Golf Course in Stanwood, Mich.
The "Players Cup" was a new addition to the golf outing this year for former Bulldog players and coaches only. Each four-member team was comprised of current or former Ferris players and/or coaches only with the winner receiving the traveling trophy along with great prizes and bragging rights for a full year.
The FSU football program is working on developing the membership of the Bulldog Players Association and needs assistance in locating and updating information about former Ferris gridiron players.
