FERRIS STATE ATHLETICS TO HOLD "GOLD OUT SATURDAY!"

Gold T-Shirts and Rally Towels To Be Distributed Prior To This Saturday's Football Game

The Ferris State University Athletics Department is asking all Ferris State Bulldog fans to show their pride and wear gold this Saturday (Oct. 28) for "Gold Out Saturday!" at Top Taggart Field in Big Rapids, Mich., in conjunction with FSU's football game versus archrival Grand Valley State. Opening kickoff for the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) contest is 2 p.m. (EDT).

To help support the Bulldogs, the FSU Athletics Department will be distributing gold colored t-shirts to Ferris students. The shirts are being sponsored by Huntington Bank, Phillips Automotive Group and the University Eye Center to the first 2,000 Ferris State students who enter the stadium and sit in the student section bleachers (the Dawg Pound), located in the south end zone.

Approximately 2,000 gold rally towels, sponsored by Huntington Bank will be handed out to those individuals who have reserved and general admission seating on the Wheeler Pavilion side of Top Taggart Field.

The Ferris State football team will battle Grand Valley State on the field for the Anchor Bone Trophy, which is given annually to the winner of the FSU-GVSU gridiron contest. The trophy debuted in 2002.

Fans are reminded to get your tickets early to avoid long lines on game day and tickets may be purchased at the Ferris State Athletics Ticket Office, the FSU Ranking Center, all Meijer locations in West Michigan or at StarTickets Plus.com. For more ticket information, please call (231) 591-2888.

Tickets are $13 for reserved, $10 for general admission and Ferris State students get in free with their valid ID.
