FERRIS STATE FOOTBALL TO HOST TEAM CAMP/COACHES CLINIC

Two Guest Speakers Highlight Two-Day Event

Jeff Pierce and his coaching staff will host the Bulldog Football Team Camp/Coaches Clinic on June 30-July 1.

Ferris State University will be hosting its 2006 Bulldog Football Team Camp/Coaches Clinic on June 30-July 1 in Big Rapids, Mich.

Ferris head coach Jeff Pierce and his entire Bulldog coaching staff will direct the Team Camp/Coaches Clinic. Highlights of the Team Camp include individual offensive and defensive drill sessions and a seven-on-seven round robin tournament with eight games for 20 total teams. The Coaches Clinic will feature two special guest presentations from a pair of respected coaches at two nationally-acclaimed NCAA Division I-AA football programs.

Pre-registration and a minimum deposit of $150 made payable to Ferris State University is required by June 1 and for more information, please contact FSU assistant coach Jason Rebrovich at (231) 591-2786.

The cost is $300 for the Team Camp/Coaches Clinic (entire staff), $75 for the Coaches Clinic (entire staff), and $20 for the Coaches Clinic (individual). Each individual will be required to complete a Ferris State medical form release prior to participation and teams are required to provide their own jerseys and helmets.

The Coaches Clinic will be held Friday, June 30, at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Center in Big Rapids. Registration will be conducted from 5-6 p.m. (EDT). The event will begin with a welcome by Pierce at 6 p.m., followed by one-hour presentations from Southern Illinois offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Matt Limegrover and Western Kentucky inside linebackers coach Cary Marquell. Following the guest speakers, members of the Ferris State coaching staff will speak and present a film session. Refreshments will be served throughout the event.

The Team Camp will commence Saturday, July 1, with registration from 8-9 a.m. (EDT) at FSU's Top Taggart Field. The remainder of the day's scheduled includes on-field demonstrations, a seven-on-seven tournament, and a linemen weightroom presentation. Closing remarks from Pierce starting at 4:45 p.m. will wrap up the event.
