Bulldog Of The Month Award Winners

December Honorees

Rachel Folcik - Women's Basketball Junior, Forward/Center Powers, Mich./Carney-Nadeau Tallied a team-high 127 points and 59 rebounds as the Bulldogs posted a 4-3 overall mark during the month. She averaged 18.1 points along with 8.4 rebounds per outing in the seven-game stretch. The 6-1 Folcik shot 52.9% (54-102) from the floor in December games and was 19-of-22 (.864) at the free throw line. She reached double-figure scoring in six of the seven games and had 20 points or more three times, including a personal career-high 28 points against Aquinas (12/9). Folcik recorded a double-double effort by adding at least 10 rebounds in three of the contests. She was chosen as the GLIAC North Division Player of the Week for her play in four outings over the holiday break (Dec. 18-30), which represented the first time she has earned the distinction in her career.

Zac Pearson - Hockey Senior, Right Wing White Lake, Mich. Compiled a team-leading five points with one goal and a squad-high tying four assists in six contests. He recorded a -3 efficiency rating as the Bulldogs posted a 0-4-2 mark for the month. He notched two points (1-1=2) in a league series opening contest at Miami (12/1) to begin a three-game point streak (1-3=4). Pearson was credited with an assist in the month's first three games, which included a helper apiece at Miami (12/2) and versus Lake Superior State (12/8). Pearson, who tallied at least one point in four of the month's six outings, picked up an assist at Minnesota in the Dodge Holiday Classic Championship game (12/30).
