BIG RAPIDS – Senior setter Andrea Rich had a great conclusion to a strong collegiate volleyball playing career at Ferris State University.

Rich, a native of New Baltimore who prepped at Anchor Bay High School, was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Midwest Region Honorable Mention team in an announcement made last week.

“Andrea is well deserving of this honor,” Ferris head coach Tia Brandel-Wilhelm said of the announcement. “She has worked hard over the last four years and this recognition is a reward for her dedication and commitment.”

Rich has been a steady presence for the Bulldogs from the minute the 5-10 setter joined the squad. It has been gratifying to see the development of Rich during her career and it has been great to see her collect these accolades as she moves on into the next phase of her life – life after college volleyball.

Rich finished with team-best mars in assists (629) and aces (40) and ranked second on the team in digs (a career-high 315).
